Apple Dutch Baby - 4.5 points per serving -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This puffy pancake is the newest treat at our house! Apple Dutch Baby Recipe By : Barb Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:10 Categories : Breakfast Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 medium apples -- peeled and sliced 1 tablespoon Splenda 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon Splenda 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 large eggs 2 large egg whites 2/3 cup skim milk 1 tablespoon melted butter Spray a 12-inch, non-stick skillet with butter flavored Pam. Saute apples 10 minutes over medium heat. Sprinkle with Splenda and remove from heat. Make pancake batter by combining dry ingredients and adding wet ingredients. Whisk until well blended. Pour batter over apples. Bake 15-18 minutes in 450 degree oven. If desired, once baby is puffy, you can sprinkle with Splenda and cinnamon. Yield: "4 servings" Start to Finish Time: "0:25" - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Per Serving (excluding unknown items): 207 Calories; 6g Fat (24.3% calories from fat); 8g Protein; 31g Carbohydrate; 2g Dietary Fiber; 102mg Cholesterol; 372mg Sodium. Exchanges: 1 Grain(Starch); 1/2 Lean Meat; 1/2 Fruit; 0 Non-Fat Milk; 1 Fat. Serving Ideas : Pass warm sugar-free pancake syrup and more cinnamon and Splenda. Or serve with lemon wedges and powdered sugar. I have also added 1 cup of fresh blueberries to the batter right before baking. That was great, too!
