I dont know about everyone out in DWLZ-land, but it seems like the faster paced the songs are that I listen to when I am working out, the faster I run on the treadmill. Equally, the slower the beat, the slower I go.
So, I am trying to put together a good mix of music to push me when I am working out. Any suggestions? What do you workout to? |

I love White Stripes, so I listen to "Hardest Button to Button" and "Fell in Love With a Girl," and mix it up with Green Day "Holiday" and "When I Come Around" and funky stuff like Average White Band "Work to Do" and "Schoolboy Crush."
I'm kind of a classic rock gal, so I like the stones "Brown Sugar," "*****," "It's Only Rock'N'Roll," and "Live With Me." |

I like stuff with a beat when I'm working out. It can be rock, pop, hip hop, rap, country. Whatever. But it has to have a pounding beat to it.

I have many different playlists for my workouts, but the one below is the one I'm using right now. I find it helps me get through my workouts...I remember on day I was in the middle of a 3 mile walk, and my Ipod went dead...I was LOST without my music. *lol*
Waiting for Somebody - Paul Westerberg Dyslexic Heart - Paul Westerberg Big Love - Lindsey Buckingham Just Dance - Lady GaGa So Far Away - Staind Breakdown - Seether Undead Hollywood Undead Alcohaulin'A*s - Hellyeah 21 Guns - Green Day Running Up That Hill - Placebo (orignal by Kate Bush) Feels Like Tonight - Daughtry Everywhere - Michelle Branch Boom Boom Pow - Black Eyed Peas Welcome to the World - Kevin Rudolf ![]() ![]()

I wanted to put my suggestions out there, I'm always looking for music to help keep me going while I'm at the gym. I listen to pretty much everything, I often think I have the oddest ipod ever.
Here are a few good songs I like to work out to: Remember the Name - Fort Minor (GREAT song to motivate you!) Wind it up - Gwen Stefani Keeps Gettin' Better - Christina Aguilera Shut up and drive - Rihanna Hey Ya! - OutKast Give It 2 Me - Madonna When I grow up - The Pussycat Dolls Untouched - The Veronicas (good running song) Funhouse - Pink Don't Stop Til You Get Enough - Michael Jackson Deja Vu - Beyonce Do Somethin - Britney Spears There are soo many more, I could run off but these were some of my favs.

I am getting some great suggestions from you all!!!
My i-pod is all workout music. I love all kinds, but since I am old, I thought I'd throw in a few of my favorites from the 70's and 80's. Funk 49 - James Gang (Lots of cowbell to keep you moving) Everybody's Everything - Santana Just like Heaven - Cure Gimme Some Lovin' - Spencer Davis Group (ok, this one is the 60's) Life During Wartime - Talking Heads (this ain't no party!) Cinnamon Girl - Neil Young Three Pistols - Tragically Hip (if you're Canadian, you've heard of them) Spirit of Radio - Rush Blister in the Sun - Violent Femmes and for a serious sprint on the elliptical or treadmill: A Punk - Vampire Weekend (new music..totally fun!)

Great suggestions everyone. I love working out to music too.
My input... Try "Skinny Songs" they have a website but I got mine from iTunes. Most of them have a great beat and a great motvational message as well. Happy Sweatin' to all!

I have to have music when I am doing any form of exercise! I think my absolute first choice is "Fighter" by Christina Aguillera! It really gets me working hard. I was listening to it while I was cleaning my shower yesterday and boy did I get it clean
Others...."Physical" by Olivia Newton John "Gimme More" by Britney Spears Linkin Park...anything by them "Never Again" By Nickelback "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi "Fergilicious" by Fergie There are sooo many but my mind is blank and I don't have my Ipod near. |
